We create theatre with and for older people living in care.
Company in Residence
Our team of creatives is currently based in Green Heys Care Home for 10 weeks, delivering activities with residents, their loved ones and staff. Whilst there we created “Winter Wonderland” which toured to 3o care homes.
This theatrical journey was documented by students on placement from the Applied Theatre Department from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
The impact of residents’ health and wellbeing formed part of an Action Research project led by the Faculty of Health & Applied Care at Liverpool John Moores University, The report is available here.
A huge thank you to all of our partners for making this happen, and especially to Green Heys staff and residents who have so warmly welcomed us.
Our work was recently featured on Local UK TV.

What we do
That Theatre Group produces work with and for older people living in care.
We record the memories of care home residents and use these to create scripts which develop into original professional theatre productions.
We provide meaningful therapeutic engagement for people living with dementia, and encourage older people not only to share their much-loved memories with us, but also to reflect on the present day and communicate their hopes and dreams for the future.
